Online Application Submission

Candidates must complete the required registration process on the UPSC application portal and apply for the Drug Inspector post within the specified dates covering registration, personal details, educational qualifications, experience details (where required), category information, document upload, fee payment (if applicable), and final submission.

Application Scrutiny

UPSC examines submitted applications based on the eligibility conditions prescribed for the post educational qualification, age, category, relevant experience, and registration requirements where applicable. Candidates who do not meet the prescribed requirements may not proceed further.

Written Examination / Recruitment Test / CBT

Where a recruitment test is conducted, eligible candidates may be called for a written, objective, or computer-based assessment covering Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Analysis, Pharmacognosy, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Clinical and Hospital Pharmacy, Drug Regulatory Affairs, and the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and Rules.

Admit Card and Exam Attendance

Shortlisted or eligible candidates can access the relevant examination admission document according to UPSC instructions and appear at the designated examination centre, after verifying exam date, reporting time, venue, and identity proof requirements.

Interview / Personality Test, if Applicable

Depending on the recruitment method, candidates who qualify may be called for an interview or personality assessment focusing on pharmaceutical knowledge, drug regulation, inspection procedures, regulatory interpretation, professional judgement, and communication ability.
